Wicked
After a long tough travel day we were off to the Apollo Victoria to see Wicked.
The production quality of the show was magnificant. Costumes, lighting, sets and music were second to none. The story line was fairly simple, the conversion of the wicked witch to good.
Unfortunately we were so tired we missed a lot of the show; we were in the theatre for the entire time, at least in body! The show was good we think, but we were so tired we were not able to fully appreciate it. (A lesson learned!)
These pictures will give you a little idea what the stage was like. We couldn't take pics during the show but these were taken before it started.
The Stage
The Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon, held at the Prince of Wales Theatre, was soooo rude (the billboard read Rude & Offensive") - but very funny, and contained some good life lessons. We did enjoy it a lot more than we expected.
Billy Elliot
This show, at the Victoria Palace, we enjoyed most of all; although the language was quite rude, the setting...
a coal miners' strike in Northern England,it was appropriate. There were tears and laughter for both of us...
a very heart-warming story.
