The Baltic Sea

In June 2013 we took a cruise on the Baltic Sea with a three day visit to London.

We think this part of the site is done! If you would like to know when there are other updates let us know and we will add you to the notification list.

We were on our own this time, no fellow travellers. We flew to Copenhagen via Montreal and Frankfurt. At the conclusion of the cruise we returned to Copenhagen and from there we were on to London for three days, then returned home (direct London to Halifax).

Take another little tour with us; it should be exciting.

The Cruise:

The Ship - the Eurodam -
We spent two full days at sea. On day two we sailed from Copenhagen to Tallinn and on day seven we sailed from Stockholm to Berlin.

This site will give you little tidbits on what we saw and did, welcome:

Map Day 1 - Copenhagen, Denmark
A hop-on hop-off bus tour took us to many interesting sights, with a stroll in the evening. Day 2 was spent at sea.

Day 3 - Tallinn, Estonia
Caught a bus to town and walked through the old town and back to the pier.

Day 4 & 5 - St. Petersburg, Russia
On the first day we went on a waterways tour and on day two we enjoyed a guided land tour.

Day 6 - Helsinki, Finland
A hop-on hop-off bus took us around this city, where we spent time at various locations of interest.

Day 7 - Stockholm, Sweden
A combined hop-on hop-off ticket allowed us to tour by both land and water. We visited the new ABBA museum - just opened a month or so ago. Sam has been here a number of times before so he acted as the tour director. Day 8 was at sea.

Day 9 - Berlin, Germany

We visited the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, then continued on to Berlin. It was about a 13 hr day!

Day 10 - Hamburg, Germany
A bus tour to the city from the port with a few stops in the city.

Day 11 - End of Cruise
An overnight stay in Copenhagen with lots of walking and dinner out at a restaurant at the famous Tivoli Gardens.

Day 12 to 14 - London, England
Sam has been to London several times, so again he was the tour guide. Travelling by London Underground (the tube) we visited a number of sights and all three evenings we enjoyed Musical Theatre. What else would two gay men in London do?! London is a city of 15 million and we surely hope to return again soon to see some more.

Then we headed home; that was all there was to it.

We hope you enjoy your adventure with us. If you have any comments please contact us.
