This is one of Gaudi's most famous works - a temple which he conceived as the new Cathedral of Barcelona. Started in 1882, (he died in 1926) construction continued with many major delays. By 2010 construction reached the mid point. The anticipated completion date is 2026—the centennial of Gaudi's death. (Spain's answer to Stephen Harper's "Canada's Action Plan"?)
